This noetic nomad is dreaming of dragonflies. Living in a balanced exploration of ordinary life in a miraculous way. Not everyone understands or sees that. This blog for example is fifty two new opportunities to discover something wonderful about life. Thrilling, isn’t it?

I love the smell of a blank page in the morning.

I also draw a blank when trying to come up with new things to talk about every week. But only when I try too hard. Invariably, self doubt sets in. It’s not writer’s block. It’s not even procrastination.

When we put our dreams aside, we also put our creative side on the back shelf, cutting off that part of us that makes life gloriously wonderful.

Dreaming is a gift

The crisp new planners and the fresh pack of pens bring me joy. They are tiny dragonflies. Benchmarks of something wonderful. These are a few of my favorite things. We celebrate the beginning of a new year, something universally shared. A majority of global citizens welcomed in 2019 with hope and promise. By the end of February, we begin to forget that this is still, a brand new year.

I’ve been shifting some of what I’m working on as a way to feel this new skin. A skin of purpose. An utter shell of a transitional awareness in life. The celebration of a landmark birthday usually tied to something of a death, or ending. My mind has struggled with that concept. Turning fifty five is not something to be ashamed of.

It’s an entering into the glorious phase of finally feeling all grown up! Feeling the wisdom pulse through our veins. We shed our need for practical magic as we enter into this ancient awakening of feeling connected to the universe as a whole. It’s no longer a dream. It’s a gift of the season.

Dragonflies

We all do that. Create a ‘new’ part of the organic life of our experiences. We all live in our chapters. One phase of life ends, another begins. Thus is it for the whole of our human development across a lifespan. It’s society that shuts the doors on us.

It’s a cultural value to believe that chronological age is the omnipotent bench mark of our worth.

In fact, it is the ancient ones, like the dragonflies, who bloom in our magnificent power of knowing. Wisdom is programmed into our DNA.

Every cell becomes alive with an all knowing understanding of how to

  • thrive,
  • appreciate being alive,
  • and dive to the depths of love, not yet understood fully.

We are beings who are taught how to live, what to think, whom we ‘should’ align with while hoping, for a moment in time, to be approved of by those we deem more worthy than ourselves.

When in fact, we are the dragonfly. Ancient. Incandescent. Iridescent in our beauty. Love, personified in many splendid ways. We are all at once, free of the shackles of expectation as we become in tandem, all that was, all that is, and all that can be.

In peace and love,

Karen
