The Instruments
Introduction
Whether we work as a coach, counsellor, friend, teacher and or parent we all at times wish to enable the development of others, as well as ourselves. This course invites you to look within to discover four essential inner instruments. Through these podcasts you will discover how you can actively participate in the development of others as well as yourself.
Chapter 1 : The Spirit Level
The spirit level is the means by which we are able to inwardly balance and cultivate presence. As such, this instrument is vital in preparing ourselves to practice and activates and makes ready each of the other vital instruments namely, the compass, wand and mirror.
Chapter 2 : The Compass
This essential instrument is vital to our innate sense of directionality and the knowledge that we are moving forward in line with our wishes and longing. Through the compass we can continually re-orientate and re-set our vital co-ordinates.
Chapter 3 : The Wand
With awareness of the inner wand, we can be enabled to work our own magic. Escaping the confines of overthinking to more imaginatively enter into the experience of what our heart truly desires.
Chapter 4 : The Mirror
The inner mirror is the means by which we are able to reflect. Reflection cultivates listening and listening cultivates questioning and how we may choose to intervene. By non-judgementally reflecting what we hear, see, sense and intuit, we permit others the chance to come to know themselves more deeply.
