What a good time to have World Laughter Day 2017 and boost those positive vibes. In a world full of uncertainty and disruption let’s take a break and laugh for no reason other than choosing to do so. We know laughter cannot fix or heal a problem but it can help you dissolve the feelings and improve your mood and help you take steps to being positive.
Dr. Madan Kataria, founder of the worldwide Laughter Yoga movement, created World Laughter Day in 1998. The celebration of World Laughter Day is a positive manifestation for world peace and is intended to build up a global consciousness of brotherhood and friendship through laughter.
World Laughter Day is customarily celebrated on the first Sunday of May every year. The Laughter Clubs movement is a global initiative to unite entire mankind through unconditional love and laughter. It is a non-religious, non-racial and non-profit organization committed to generate good health, joy and world peace through laughter. This revolutionary idea has changed the lives of hundreds and thousands of people around the world and has helped them to attain a state of complete wellness.
Laughter is an amazing way to connect with people. I was just in Bangalore India doing my Teachers training again with Dr Kataria and we had such fun. The day before the training started 3 of us joined him and his wife Madhuri, for a Laughter Yoga session held by one of his star students. After that we walked through the streets making people laugh on the way. Dr K just went up to everyone and asked if they would laugh with him, and you know what – they did. He has such an amazing clean spirit that it just makes people open up and laugh. When your intention is good then you will be received with good YAY !!
World Laughter Day 2017
Maybe this is something you can do on World Laughter Day 2017 hehe try and see how it works. If that doesn’t work have a look in your area for what is happening and go and join in. Many Laughter Clubs will be doing something and it will definitely be a lot of fun. Imagine the energy of all the people laughter at the same time yay it would be awesome and just what the world needs right now.
There are also many laughter clubs on Skype where you can actually laugh with people from all around the world at any time of the day http://laughteryoga.org/ly-on- skype/ this is an awesome way of getting your laughter fix for the day.
I have posted a vlog (below)to this so you can see how laughter yoga is spreading across the world and see the fun people have when taking part in it. This shows pictures of the Guinness World Record of 10 000 people laughing together in one place in Copenhagen, Denmark.
I would love to see this number grow each year so we can send this amazing positive energy out into the world in the name of World Peace through Laughter yay!!
Happy World Laughter Day!
